Looking to Rent in Dunedin?
Finding a home that suits your needs can be challenging but at Click we will endeavour to make this process as smooth as possible. You can view properties online as well as book a viewing and also apply online.
Step 1: View our properties for rent
Step 2: Book a viewing
If there are no times suitable you can still submit your enquiry and we will endeavour to arrange a time to view.
Step 3: Complete an online application (one required per person over 18)
Applying to Rent a Residential Property
Applying for a new home is easy! Simply complete our online application form once you have viewed the property (or before hand if you prefer).
The information collected will be used to assess your suitability for tenancy. This process includes multi-bureau credit checks, rental references from current and previous landlords plus employment checks. We will need a photocopy of your Drivers License or Passport (and sight the original).
We require an application form completed by every person (over 18) who intends to occupy the property.
Your application will be processed and, in most cases, this will be turned around within 24-48 hours. We find the biggest delay in processing applications is when all information is not completed in full, or when awaiting further applications. If you are the successful applicant you will hear from the Property Manager by phone, if you are unsuccessful you will receive a text and or email.
Entering into a Tenancy Agreement
If you are the successful applicant, one of our Property Managers will arrange an appointment with you to sign your Tenancy Agreement. At your sign up appointment we will take full payment for your bond and first weeks rent. If you are unable to pay the full amount, you will be required to pay a deposit of at least one week's rent to secure the property. The remainder of funds must be paid in full (cleared funds) prior to keys being issued, the day your tenancy commences.
Your Bond
Once we receive bond money we will lodge this with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, where the money will be held in their trust till the end of the tenancy.
Insurance
Ensuring that you have adequate insurance cover is very important. That means making sure that prior to moving in you arrange contents insurance.
